Green Cardamom has a strong, unique spicy-sweet taste, which is slightly aromatic. It is more expensive than average spices. It has even less flavor than the fresher ones. The spice can be crushed and used in foods to enhance the flavour of the dishes.
Cardamom is used for digestion problems including heartburn, intestinal spasms, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), intestinal gas, constipation, liver and gallbladder complaints, and loss of appetite.
